# API Keys

> Use Product Brain keys to authorize CLI and MCP access.

Product Brain keys authorize access to a workspace.

## Key usage

* CLI uses keys for `pb` commands.
* MCP uses keys so AI clients can call Product Brain tools.

## Safety

Treat keys as secrets. Do not commit them to a repository, paste them into public chats, or include them in docs.

If a key leaks, revoke it and create a new one.
