No surprise bills. You always see usage against your included credits. We warn you as you approach limits. If you exceed the free pool, we throttle gently (no silent charges on Free) until you upgrade or the period resets — your Chain data stays yours. Exact overage rules ship with billing; this is the product commitment we're designing for.

Why usage instead of per-seat?
Seats punish collaboration. We charge for usage — MCP traffic, Chain writes, and guidance operations — so a small team with heavy agent usage and a large team with light usage each pay fairly. Headcount doesn't change the formula.
What does the free tier include?
A real workspace on the Chain, MCP and CLI access, and at least ~$25/mo equivalent in included usage credits while we're in beta (exact metering UI ships with billing). No credit card. No time-limited trial that holds your data hostage.
Will pricing or units change?
Beta means we may tune rates and unit definitions as we learn. The commitments: free stays meaningfully free, usage stays transparent, and early adopters get fair grandfathering — we'll say that in writing when billing goes live.
